Rosa Campagnaro (Director)
Rosa is the Director of Make A Scene and studied Commedia dell’Arte at the Accademia Teatrale Veneta (Italy) (previously know as Venezia InScena) in 2003 and later with Antonio Fava in 2010. In 2011, Rosa, trained in Jacques Lecoq Technique with Movement Theater Studio (New York). In 1999 she graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Arts (Drama) and a Bachelor of Teaching. Rosa has since worked as a teacher and performer specialising in Theatre In Education and Commedia dell’Arte. She has conducted professional development for teachers in this area, both independently and in conjunction with Drama Victoria (2004-2013) and CoAsIt Melbourne (2012). She has directed for the Short and Sweet Festival (Arts Centre) and produced the Green Room Award winning musicals, Vaudeville X and Intimate Apparel (High Performance Company). In 2003 Rosa was ASM on the Tony Award winning musical, Avenue Q (The Vineyard Theatre, New York). Her performance history includes: Coney Island (Movement Theater Studio, NY), Souls of Naples (Commeartefo` Theatre Company), La Locandiera (Venezia InScena, Italy) and Caution Teachers Crossing (Melbourne Fringe Festival). In 2011 Make A Scene performed at La Mama as part of the Kids Program and in 2012 in conjunction with CoAsIt Melbourne at the Carnevale in Carlton Festival. Rosa has created Arlecchino and La Principessa (The Lovers) and Pantalone's Inn for Make A Scene.
